About the Founder

Carla Lazzari has worked in the arts for over twelve years and passionately believes that art is meant to be made visible to the widest audiences with the deepest connection. Having lived and worked in Luxembourg for seven years, Carla realised that the City’s art community would benefit from a curated space to connect would-be collectors with emerging artists.

Carla began her career at Gladwell & Patterson in London in 2012. Working in the sales team, she was responsible for supporting artists during exhibitions, attending international art fairs and initiate corporate art projects. In 2014 Carla relocated to Luxembourg, representing the gallery’s interests in the city’s old town. Carla left Gladwell & Paterson in 2016 and has since been advising clients independently.

In 2001, Carla graduated from Fernando Pessoa University and went on to study Art History at Birkbeck University, London. Carla has lived in multiple countries and speaks five languages fluently.

Over the last 10 years, Carla and her husband have been growing their own art collection in their Luxembourg home. The collection includes both established and emerging artists and celebrates both symbolism and surrealism alongside abstract expressionist works.

Together they are passionate about the promotion and support of artists and cultural projects in the city. Sharing their love of meaningful art, with first their children and friends, Lazzari Art House is an extension of their commitment to celebrating creativity.

“We believe that art should be accessible to everyone, everywhere. For us, art is not a luxury but an essential, and that is why we are passionate about this project. We want to live in a country that is artistically inclusive, diverse and fair.”
